Where ya'll putting your switch when you want to inject the Nitrous? ZEX says they make a (In addition, the system also offers an electronic TPS switch for reliable system activation at wide-open throttle; perfect for the Camaro’s throttle-by-wire system.) But when your in Competive Mode or just in Regular mode, When you put the gas pedal to the floor the R.P.M's only go to like 1800 or what ever. Is that gonna mess up with the NOS? How is that gonna work when I have the pedal to the medal but I dont want it to run when I want to. I want to be able to spray when I want to. Maybe I want to tease someone for a few races? Where is everyone putting there switches? Sorry if I was going back and forth from Manual spray to Throttle-by-wire. Bare with me please. Thanks

i am thinking it would be better to sell my ss car and get a z28 when they come out. seems to be an easier way to get Hp and maybe have a more valuable car in future

If you have it setup the right way and don't take any shortcuts and have the right tune nitrous can last a long time. Just like any modification you make if you don't do it right it can go bad.

75 shot is fine on a stock motor, there's some people running upwards of a 200 shot on stock bottom end motors. its all in the tune. as long as you get a full kit (not just a nozzle and a bottle) from a reputable vendor, it will perform just fine.

Any of the kits on the market can be configured to do that. What you will need is a "window switch" to set the on/off times. If your car shifts at say 6200 you set the off time to 6000 so it shuts off the nitrous right before the shift then it will activate it again after the shift. Your on setting can be 3K, 4K whatever you want.

I have a nitrous kit for sale in the following thread: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104855

Like previously stated a window switch will help with the spraying through the shifts issue

I'm seriously thinking of putting nitrous on my 2010 SS (m6/ls3) but I'm curious as to how much I should be spraying. what supportin modifications i might need and how I'm supposed to tune it.
I have CAI and minor exhaust work. I also know that the LS7 fuel injectors that I have stock should be able to handle a decent load.
I'm good at tuning with a DST (DiabloSport Trinity) but I'm used to tuning turbo'ed applications. Never turned for nitrous before. I assume I will need to move on to another tuning system..

First step would be to decide if you want to do a dry or wet shot.

There are quite a few people hitting their stock bottom ends with 200 shots... i think orange chevy even hit his with a 250. a 150 shot would be very safe.

Great article, thanks, Spike.

I've just started reading about nitrous and meth injection. I understand both increase oxygen intake and cool things down to increase performance.

Can someone explain in noob terms what the differences are between meth and nitrous? I mean, I'm trying to figure out if one of these is better for my application and goals. Is mitrous better for TT cars, whereas meth is better for SC cars?

I've done some searching and I find articles on each set up, but I'd like to find something that compares them.
