I had 54/57's on mine and made well over 800whp with an auto. Then I went to 58/62's to efficiently make more but still had more available with the smaller turbos.

I would stay with the smaller turbos. I did over 800 whp 13-14psi with 57/57s. I think some get caught up with numbers and dont realize there are trade offs with bigger turbos. Especially with stock cubes. If i ever swap mine out, i would do 58/62s.

I haven't had any other turbos on the car other than the 62's. It runs great and hard. There may be a tad bit of lag(haven't rode in any other turbo car), but I have plans for bigger cubes and roll racing. So far I've ran up to 16.5 psi on the stock bottom end and stock m6 tranny.
The cam I have is spec'ed for these turbos and bigger cubes and 20+ psi in the future. So the car runs pretty strong before boost hits also. It is about your goals and application. If I were planning a max build of 800 rwhp I don't think I would use the 62's, but if you are hoping to go over 1,000 rwhp 58's or 62's would be better options. I chose 62's because I want to go over 1,000 rwhp, roll racing, and didn't want to hit a hp limit with turbos like I did with my ECS 1500.

Exactly why I chose the 6262's as well. I added a s60 rear end to it as well so that i could dig some too.

The only dyno sheet I have was one where my wastegates got plumbed wrong and made 18# of boost at 5700rpm. I have the pic on my phone it made 678/730 before we got out of it. We got lucky not blowing the stock l99. God bless e85

I had an opportunity recently to buy some 56/61s for $900 but I didn't feel it was needed.

I just got retuned and made 820/800 @ 14.5 psi through the stock 6L80. I run it on the wastegate springs on the street and it just blows the tires off past half throttle. I'm sure that at the track on drag radials the transmission will not be happy. Hopefully there is a built 6L90 in my future.
