LSA conversion boost help

I’m doing an LSA conversion on my 2010 SS ls3 and a 2.75” upper pulley with the ls3 crank balancer. Has anyone done this same install and what boost does it make? Thanks.

Not sure about the boost, but a stock LS3 crank balancer will not work, you need a balancer thats compatible with a supercharger, at least the AC delco one, part#12674581

I believe the LSA and LS3 balancers were a little different offset. Do a search here. You’ll get the info. But a stock LSA balancer would work well for you. Then you have things like the ATI balancer. All around better. But pricey and not necessary unless you’re going for an all out build.

I think my ADM Performance kit had me reuse the stock L99 balancer. I had to remove the crank bolt to drill for a pin, but don't remember pulling the balancer off.

Depends on the pulley kit. If it’s the ADM kit with the pulley on the stock water pump, lS3 balancer is fine. IF it is the LSA pulley kit, you’ll need the LSA balancer or third party upgradeable version.

I’ve done both and currently have the LSA pulley kit where you only needed to do a bit of modification to the ac unit…

I bought a ZL1 balancer off of the forum here, worked great with an LSX kit. I run around 7.8-8 psi boost with this setup.

It works, the LSA conversion just use a longer 6 rib accessory belt.

It should make about 8 psi with the 2.75 upper and stock LS3 lower.

Don't forget to upgrade the fuel pump and FSCM colder plugs, and good tuning.

Ted.

I have a ZL1 balancer if you want to switch. As stated above you can use the ls3 balancer because I’m using a ls3 balancer on my Lsa build and it works perfectly with Lsx innovations 6 rib lsa conversion brackets part #Bd17. My blower has a 2.55 upper pulley though and some additional fuel mods. Just a guess but I’d say you’ll be at 8 or 9 psi
