Three 1LE's being scrapped

1LE brothers and sisters, this video is a little hard to watch. Those of us that own/owned one know what amazing cars these truly are. It's just a shame to see how the cars we love so much will end up one day more than likely.

That just isn’t right!!! Someone could have adopted both of them and given them a second chance. That is, unfortunately, the future of most most vehicles…even the really nice ones.

I've actually been talking to this guy about parts. I hydroplaned into a guardrail in June but my insurance carrier decided to rebuild instead of total otherwise mine would have met this fate as well.

What is ironic is mine probably had worse damage then at least 1 of these if not 2.

There is a place in Akron Ohio that has parted out another 2 of these that I know of in the last 3 months while I have been looking for parts. Certainly of the few thousand 14/15 1LE made the numbers are dropping pretty rapidly.

He actually had a white front bumper and splitter for sale. I was trying to just buy the splitter but he would not "split" them (i.e. lol no pun intended)

Yeah but I can understand to a point. The splitters are held on with a lot of rivets and would take some time to drill out and seperate. I know I was shocked when I installed the gm brake duct kit and removed the front clip. I had no idea how many rivets gm used to keep these things on at speed. But on the flip side being that they are discountinued, it could be in their interest to take the time to remove them and sell them separately.
