Now this is the first 1" lowering kit I've seen that looks great for the ZL1!

I didn't think of that because I have a 1LE. You are right though...

Pete, how do u drop the spindle center, vertical or on the steering axis? Also, how do you guys analyze or simulate fatigue on those knuckles? Looks like a lot of sharp edges.

The reason this product was designed is the excellence of the suspension systems on the show room floor. MRC and DSSV struts are GREAT PRODUCT. Why would we want to compromise it when we can compliment it?

ZL1 with a Knuckle Drop
Z/28 with a Kncukle Drop
1LE with a Kncukle Drop
SS with a Knuckle Drop

The bulk of the drop is along the steering axis. The sharp edges are removed in a post operation. The pictures are purely a representative view of what people could expect the part to look similar to and not for evaluation of finished product. With that said the product is designed in a way that keeps the costs down for a billet application and not for a mold to be cast which would only be machined once and amortized over thousands of parts. We could roll all edges with large surface machined edges which would make the part better but instead we beef up cross sections in the weak areas and go through a post process to remove and roll all edges as well as stress reliving at the same time which is not displayed in the pictures. Rest assured we have thought about all of this and have experience with other applications that exceed the stresses that this part would ever see and are so confident in the design there is a money back guarantee.

Thanks for the great question.

So if you have a 1" drop on your car now, using these knuckles will restore your suspension travel with the benefits of better spring rates, lower COG, better articulation, less deflection, less sprung weight and full suspension travel?

Yes, but unsprung weight will remain the same.

So what is the estimated weight savings of these pieces?

None, the OE knuckle is cast aluminum and these are billet aluminum.
