1LE Question
This is about the 1le hood. Will clear bra work on the hood of the 1le to protect the vinyl?
Any thoughts would help. Galaxy s3 |

I would think it would work however it might give the hood a gloss look perhaps

You would have to use Xpel's Stealth Film in order to keep the satin look.

I'd use a can or two of clear plasti dip. Cost you about $15 off amazon. I use it on my motorcycle fairings and its held up really well the past year. looks close to factory gloss and its resisted rocks and bugs out in the back roads at high speeds. and when it looks like its chipped just spray a lil more to patch it up and you can peel it off like a sticker

Its not durable at all. I got my first rock chip on the hood with 250 miles on the odo.. I put paint protection on the entire front end and thought the hood didnt need it seeing it was covered. Nope!!!

I was told today that clear bra starts to turn yellow after a while. Can anyone confirm this

THIS!!! Have you ever wallpapered before? You can't go vinyl over vinyl unless you use a specialized adhesive. If you're not ready to strip off the hood wrap and repaint it in a matte finish to replicate the wrap, then go along with someone's suggestion of filling in with a marker or touchup paint. Or you could strip off the hood wrap and then put on a clear wrap from EXPEL( in a matte finish might look cool)

I picked up some Dr. Beasley's Matte sealant for my hood, should have the car mid next week so I'll be sure to report back how it turns out
