See Tesla ... this is how you introduce a car:

Make its production specs better than the initial estimates, deliver it at the price you said you would, and start building them within a year of unveiling it.

That's -mode- ludicrous...

I'm sure Tesla would love to do that if they actually had money.

I am in the market for a hatch from GM. Cruze is the way I am leaning, please Buick set some balls on the table and rack' em. 2.0T or the 1.6T from the Cascada with some serious weight reduction would be awesome. Newsflash Buick, the old generation customers are disappearing and it is time to move into the market that will keep you moving. Don't get me wrong, love the intermediate choice from Chevy to Cadillac. Caddy is seeing the next 10 years as the last fun we will see in HP for awhile. Just remember 1974-1994.

Oshawa avoids execution with continued XTS production, plus final full size truck assembly.

To be fair, this is for the Chinese market. Where Buick, not Chevrolet, is considered the volume brand.

I hear ya, but their culture demands quality over price. If you simply rebadged a Volt and put it on their showroom floor, it would never sell.

Up until recently GM was still selling the Daewoo Lacetti rebadged as a Buick and it was an insanely high volume product...
