So when would the C7 supposedly come out anyway? The C6 has only been out for 3 model years not counting the 2008 model year.
Corvette generations usually last quite a long time. The C1, C3, and C4 all had runs of 10 years or more. The C5 even lasted 8 years from 1997-2004. If the C6 has an eight year run from 2005-2012, I wouldn't be too surprised if a base vette in 2013 has 500hp.

I have heard a lot of the rumors suggest that the C6 will have about a 6 MY run... really short for a Vette IMO, especially the best vette yet. IMO they could easily get 10 MYs out of the C6!

I don't remember where I read it, but I read somewhere that GM has re-trademarked the name ZR-1...

They were all the best "Vette yet"(I like that), at one point. The C6 is the greatest so far, though, It is the Corvette that began to chase the Lamboroguinis and the Ferrari's of the world...Now comes the real challenge, overtaking them and winning the world race...HAha we are here, my friends, let us watch the fireworks |

I finally saw my first 2008 LS3 powered vette on the road yesterday. I ran the plate and it came back as a $41,900 veh. Not too bad of a price, no?

I don't mind what info it gives...but I find it hysterical that he you ran the plate for the Hell of it - cause it was a pretty car...
I better stick to the backroads after I get my 5thgen, or I'll have Cops all down the road running my plate for that reason! |

It doesn't actually give you the price they paid for it does it?
That would almost be scary. But back in Cali, where I am from originally, LS3 vettes are costing nearly $50K. I hate California sometimes.

We run plates all day long on our fixed laptops in the car. The return gives us info on who else ran the plate, TCIC, NCIC, and the vehicle registration return out of Austin.
Yes, it actually tells a lot of stuff including the price. Previous owner, current owner, lein holder, etc, etc, etc.... A buddy of mine finally beat my $250K red Ferrari I ran that night it was raining on 410 (don't know who remembers that post...it's been a while). But, his latest was something like $350K...wish I could remember exact cost and what type of Ferrari it was. Oh, and sorry to get off topic! |
