Can I mount my original 275/35 tires on 20x11" rear wheels? I want to up the rears from 9.5 to 11" but want to keep the existing tires for now.

I'm thinking probably not (too narrow). I have Michelin 285/35ZR19 on a 19x11 wheel and they're stretched to their apparent max. I don't particularly like the look of stretched sidewalks but I knew this would be the case for my all-seasons; I was thinking ahead for future move to warmer climate and turning those wheels into dedicated track setup. I may replace the 2 rear wheels with 19x10 for next year for "square" setup. I checked the manufacturer's tire specifications to learn my choice would fit 9.5-11" wide wheel. Go to Tire Rack or your your tire manufacturers website, find your tire size, and read the technical specifications. That will tell you everything about the tire and figment.

This should tell you. I don't think it's any coincidence that the stock wheels are stretched to their limit, so you can't put wider tires on there, sort of self-limiting. Most manufacturers do this, rather than make wheels wider (and more expensive) than needed. The tolerance that I selected for the radius was based on what I wanted. I can input any tolerance that I want, but you can see whether or not a different width and profile will lift or lower the car and how much. The 2nd step would be to list the % change and speedometer effect.

I also made an excel program for the offset to compare against stock (in this case for my winter setup).

A small 1' level held "plum" against the flat outside edge of the fender and down to the tire will tell the true story if they stick out or not.

This seems like as good a thread as any to ask this question. I know GM just added some length to the fender bracket for the ZL1 1LE fenders. Has any one tried making a bracket for the ss fenders to push them out that same 1/2 inch?

I know GEN5DIY was working on this for a while but I don't think anything ever came of it (like a lot of their "projects). With that said I know of at least one person that basically made their own by using washers and a longer bolt to space the fender out a bit, I'm considering doing the same since I have the ZL1 rocker panels on my car.

Sorry I am posting in an old thread. I did a search and it brought me to this thread. A lot of good info in here.

I am looking at getting some forgeline ff3s on my 2017 Camaro SS. I want a square setup and I want to run 285/30R19 tires all the way around.

I also want to be able to rotate the tires.

I dont care if the front tires stick out some on the front.

Which offset should I get for all 4 rims? Thinking 23mm?
Appreciate any help.

I just got a similar set up (19" square with 285/30). I'm using Apex ET20 wheels, which are the OEM front wheel offset. The fronts are obviously fine. The rears now poke 10mm further than OEM, but I don't think its noticeable. From what I've heard from others, an ET23 wheel may require a thin front spacer to avoid the strut, depending on how aggressive you set the camber.

Sorry. Need to update. My 19 square setup uses 285/35. 285/30 would not change the fitment in terms of wheel well clearances, but it does make the overall diameter of the wheel a smaller than OEM, especially in the rear. 285/35 is slightly larger than OEM in front and slightly smaller than OEM in the rear.

You can use a 19x10.5 with an ET22 in front and rear with a 5mm spacer in front. It's a rotatable setup. Rear will be a little wider than stock but front will be close to stock width.

What width wheels are your 19's?
