ZL1 style dead pedal

Installed ZL1 pedals on my SS a few years ago and it has always driven me crazy that The dead pedal didn't match.

Finally found a solution, and bought one for my camaro and my g8 (which share the same style pedals)

Got them from ultimatepedals.com... They have a bunch of styles but I opted for horizontal slot, smooth frosted finish since these match the GM pedals the best.

The only down side is that the slots are open and not filled with rubber like the stock ones, so I used some leftover plastic I had from some universal mud guards and cut it to the shape of the pedals to put in between the metal and the dead pedal for a cleaner appearance... Otherwise you would see the stock footrest slots through the metal openings

As for price, I am not 100% sure since I purchased through a 3rd party site (and probably overpaid). To tweak something with my order is when I dealt with ultimate pedals directly. Wish I just had gone thru them from the start. The only reason I didn't is because like you, I did not see horizontal slot on their direct site either, so I didn't think it was the same company.

There also isn't an option on his website to purchase the dead pedal only, so it would be best to contact them directly using the email listed on their site. The owner is VERY helpful. His name is Robert.

He worked with me quite a bit on this, so if anyone would like one of these, to avoid order confusion, refer to it as "pontiac G8 dead pedal, horizontal slots, frosted, smooth"

Been waiting for this! Wondering how you have it attached as I noticed there are no screws in the holes...

used all purpose adhesive to bond the aluminum with the black plastic backing I made, and then used 3M tape to adhere it to the dead pedal itself. so far so good, but if it doesn't work in the long run then I will use the screws.

I MIGHT volunteer to be the point person on a group buy if there's enough interest. I contacted the manufacturer and he said he'd allow for a 10% discount if we could get at least 10 people to participate.
I did this once before a number of years ago for a custom gauge pod when I had a 2005 Impala SS. IIRC, people sent their money to my Paypal account and when there was enough for 10 orders I sent that combined $$ amount along with the names and address of all the participants to the manufacturer.
They then made the pods and shipped them out. This method obviously entails a tad of trust that I'm not going to take your money and run but all I can do is give my word that I would never do that and didn't do it the previous time.
Anybody up for this? Granted, saving about $8 isn't that big of a deal but it's about a six-pack of craft beer or whatever.

I am vouching for Cincy10SSRS that this is legit. His post count and iTrader should help ease your concerns. I posted this over on the G8 boards also, and he is gauging interest there too.

I hope the interest is large enough that it works out !
