Nice try. I'm 66 years old and have been driving since before you were probably born.

sorry, look i'm not stupid and for no reason expect this car to be great on gas, however it does better than anything else i have. how about city driving? does 17-19 sound right? keep in mind, the 29.9m on my screen was barely there long enough to get a pic

Now that sounds reasonable. When I first began reading your posts, it sounded like you were trying to show an extended driving trip at over 28 mpg. And showing a picture of it just reinforced my impression. 17-19 sounds about right. I guess I was on the defensive because I drive very conservatively (not like a grandma) and still get no better than high 16, low 17 mpg. I've been driving for 50 years. So I think I know something about driving. And it bothered me that anybody (not necessarily just you) was trying to show up those of us who are reporting our driving results as they actually are.

Well not really, although I would certainly expect a LT to do a good bit better than a SS. Got any 1,000 mile totals to show? How about filling your tank, resetting your DIC MPGs, and not touching it for two full weeks of your regular driving... then let's take a look at it?

Don't get me wrong - it will still show respectable MPGs, but I expect it will be more in the 24-26 range at best. That will be a much more accurate "average" MPG reading.

i was purposely trying to see what it would say, like i said a decent speed, flat road and in high gear with min pressure on pedal..forget it even has cruise cause i never use it anyway. theses are all important, mostly the flat road part and in the end, the car varied between 27 - the cursed 29.9. i too drive like a human as i have all the drag racing days behind me since it is unaffordable any more

There are numerous, numerous factors involved with MPG. I just walked out and snapped a pic: "Fuel Range 469mi" and I had been 26mi since fill up. Hard to "monkey" with the fuel range gauge, as it builds up over time. Am I supposed to be a paid shill for the general, or something? It is what it is...

Well if anybody can afford super unleaded 93 anywhere in the U.S. it's probably me. I purchased 93 today at my neighborhood Kroger for 329.9 a gallon (well 339.9 minus 10 cents with my card).

You must do all highway driving. Excuse the sceptic in me but if you took a picture let's see it.

i wish i could get it here for that, this whole gas b.s. is getting old. i used to only pay 4 bucks a gallon for race fuel, and this crap we're putting in our cars now is a rip off. btw, its around 3.90 at most places here and it is all i will use in mine, the good news is i dont have to drive it much

You must be a millionaire if you can afford $339.90 per gallon of gas.

Sweet thang lives ninety miles away. There's a fair sized town with eighteen or so red lights between us. I generally have to stop at all of them. It's around the state line and John Law is everywhere. I generally set the cruise at 65 and pass everything I run up on... sometimes three or four at the time.

Dinner's cooking. After I turn off the oven, I will ride to the top of the hill with a good signal and try to post it. lol It's a hard time...
