It would have been nice of them to offer a black wheel in 20" instead of a crazy off size like 21"
There are alot of nice looking 20" wheels for 1/2 the price of the 21's and the tires are less expensive too. That's what I'll be doing. Finding some nice 20" black wheels for my summer tires and putting some snow tires on the factory 20's

Maybe the higher cost from the factory comes with a reflash of your computer to get you beyond 118 MPH?

Booooosted.

I've done this math and aftermarket math. 100 times. It's certainly not cheap but not a rip either. Every aftermarket rim I liked was over 900.00 for just one rim, no tire. The ones I found for less are cheap and ricer looking. I'll be able to sell my 20" MS wheels and tires for enough to buy a couple extra sets of rear 21" rubber and an extra set of front 21" rubber and be set for a long time. Usually the ones who claim it's a rip are the ones who habe a harder time affording it. Not a flame, I'm the same with some things. Not worried about it.

Not worth the money for 1". I would go with aftermarket 22" for that kind of cash or really go for it and get 3 piece 22".

It's a LOT of money EITHER WAY! Nice looking but NO WAY would I spend that kind of cabbage on a set of wheels and tires.
The factory optional $$$ setup is a cool way for someone to differentiate their car from the rest of the Camaros out there. Not many people will pay up for them so they will make the car more unique. IMHO - You could save some real cash by going aftermarket 20's and reusing the stock rubber. -Mark. |
