MAST stage 1 vvt cam

to be a stage 1 cam with this LSA this thing has some serious lope. is it because this car isn't tuned. this person is a member of the site.

the spec's are
Duration @ .050 220/234
Lift 573/588
LSA 116

There have been some great articles in GMHTP regarding MAST stuff; very cool, I'm telling you In the last issue, they compared a L99, with the VVT still working, against an LS3 (both had MAST heads) and the LS3 finally got a 10-horse lead on like the Stage 3 cam; otherwise, the L99 was at least the equal. Very cool stuff!!!

i have read the article numerous time. i was thinking about doing a LS3 conversion but i really don't want to lose any low end TQ. so now i have decided to keep the VVT, and now im stuck between Stage 1 and stage 2 cam from MAST

I really don't think L99 guys are giving anything up with components from MAST. I'm not supporting them, per se, however, I'm reading great things about them.

if i got the LS3 conversion and went with a mild LS3 cam i would lose TQ. the L99 puts out more low end tq than the LS3. thats why i want to keep the VVT

They seem to be doing some great things there.

Have fun with that thing! We're getting a l99 bolted to our engine dyno late this week for development work on VVT camshafts.
