No-lift-shift on 1LE
I know the ZL1 and ZR1 both have the no-lift-shift feature but does the 1LE have that ability as well?
I have heard some say that this is a feature only made available to the 14' and up 1LE, anyone know?

I did't think any of those cars you mentioned have no lift shift. As far as I know the rev match and no lift shift is a C7 and gen6 only feature. I did a quick search and found ZL1 articles about it so still looking for more info

No lift shift is only available on the ZL1. Then you push the clutch in the computer uses the drive by wire control to cut the throttle for you. If you leave the gas pinned on a 1le you just going to power shift the hell out of her. Rev matching down shifts are something completely different and not avaliable on any 5th gen.

Yeah no 1LE has it. Only ZL1 and ZR1 have it to carry boost into the next gear.

No Lift Shift on the manual transmissions.
A part of Performance Traction Management system and allows the computer to keep the revs up without "over rev" to keep the supercharged cars on the boost during shifting.

1LE does not have it, although it may have the ability to turn it on through EFILive or HPTuners.

Everyone I know calls it power shifting. Been doing it for a long time, doesn't seem to bother the car. Mine is an SS and doesn't have the NLS programming or anything but it still can be shifted without lifting through third gear for sure. I've done it. It definitely hits the rev limiter for a split second
The ZL1 and ZR1 are both supercharged and I would bet that the programming is setup differently giving them a true NLS program that allows them to keep boost while shifting. Mine isn't boosted so I don't loose any boost even if the car pulls timing and hits the rev limiter. May not be optional but many I know do it and I have also... |
