TPMS sensors

basically wondering how long they will last before the batteries go bad.i have a 2015 RS that will be getting new tires soon.would it be cheaper to just bite the bullet and have them all replaced at that time or can i expect 2-3 more years out of them?

Give or take, they're supposed to last 8-10 years. However, I've seen a bunch go bad pre maturely around 4-5 years. This happens to me all the time, I replace the tires and all were working before I started and sure enough one wont read when I'm done! If you can afford to, I'd put new ones on from the get go.

IIRC it's close to 10 yrs, maybe 7-10. Probably would be better to go ahead and do it now and not have to pay for another tire install/balance later. I have a 2016 Silverado with only 4600 miles on it and will likely have to replace the batteries/sensors before the tires, lol.

what about firestone?will probably have my tires sent there from tire rack to be mounted and balanced.im thinking if firestone supplies the sensors and there is a problem they should have to make it right.checked at tire rack, are all camaro sensors 315 mhz?

My 2010 is still rocking the originals with 70k miles on them. Been thru 3 sets of wheels including the oem set. I consider myself lucky. Ill be changing them when I do my next set of tires just for piece of mind.

Mine lasted 10 years, just replaced them last year, and 123k miles.. Ya just never know. If you can swing it, change them out, and as stated, NO Amazon crap. Got mine at Discount Tire when I put new tires on last year. Oh, and they too have been on and off 5 different sets of wheels!! lol.

I would be in that range. Won’t know until they get pulled (if they have a date on them) but, if original they’re on 12 years and the passenger rear just quit sending a signal. Won’t be changing them out until new skins are needed. Could be a bit as I have only 10k or so on the tires.
In the meantime…this is how I deal with the warning light. In my normal driving position completely blocked out. Although, still have to hit the menu button to cancel the warning but, no big deal there.
Oh, and if you have one go out, don’t do a reset (relearn) as you’ll have no info from any of the tires if you do. Found that out the hard way. As you can see in the pic, now they’re all blank. This is on any early edition ‘10.

I was looking at these at RockAuto. Anyone have any experience with this brand?

My 2010 still has the originals in them. Been through 3 sets of wheels and now about 72k miles. Most likely will be swapping them out on my next set of tires

My early 2010 SS still has the originals. 68,000 miles. No problems with them yet.
