What a novel idea....a proactive dealer. In my case dropping the car cover caused the polished aluminums to be dropped from the order, and only was caught because I heard of this GM system fault waaaay back - from CamaroScotty - and checked up on the order.

Sure, this was posted a long time ago, but burried from sight for weeks now. Definitely worth a repost, Foster26! Ya done good....and probably saved alot of people much grief.

You may think it makes you look cool to act like a know-it-all, but can quite possibly be harmful to others when you're wrong! Besides, you end up looking pretty ignorant when the truth comes out, and it always does.

What happened on this one then? The RS still was on his workbench after the dealer removed the Hurst Shifter. I ordered from the same dealer and they had to remove the Painted Engine Cover because of constraint, I had them double check and the RS package is still on there, should I be worried?

With any luck I should be hearing from them soon on the new order, not expecting much though. Haven't really thought about it much since I heard the news. Went from a week to taking delivery... to, who knows when it gets ordered again. A little frustrating, but I know I am not going to settle for what I didn't order.

If GM gives them an extra allocation this month for the re-order, everything should be fine. If not... I'm not 100% sure what I am going to do yet.

BTW Gratz Erased!!!

I guess you will be getting a ride in the EVO instead of the Camaro.:(

That is what I do. I go into my dealer once a week to get an update.

Well here is a question as I cannot seem to get a reply out of my dealer to check and see if the RS was dropped when I removed the stripes months ago... what options do I have if I am at 3400 and it doesn't have the RS package that I had ordered... probably too late to change it, do I just tell the dealer to sell it and order me a new one making me wait another 4 months, or can they order in all the parts on their dime since I did initially order it with the RS, or what...
