Installed SW headers, exhaust, and muffler system

Finally installed SW complete headers, exhaust, muffler system on my nonNPP '16 Camaro SS. Total time was about 20 hours to install. I was working off a Kwiklift with the tires 19" off the floor. It wasn't that hard due to the quality and fit of the SW supplied equipment. The alignment took the longest to accomplish but this was due to me being "anal and I am 70 years old". I would definitely purchase the headers/exhaust/muffler SW equipment for the 16 Camaro plus it sounds GREAT!! If anybody wants/needs any of the stock exhaust items, with 651 miles on them, from the 16 Camaro SS for porting or whatever, please PM me. NOTE: ALL the stock items were sold!!

Your 70yrs old and installed a full exhaust system with the car only 19inch off the ground!

In all seriousness that's awesome to here someone did this at home. I just ordered a complete SW headers back npp system and plan on doing it myself. I love doing things myself and having the appreciation that I did it. Everyone says it's a great sounding system so I can't wait!

Incredible! I can wrench anything on a car, but now that I'm only in my 50's I tend to pay someone to do it now. You are my hero!

The system is really nice. I am going to assume the bulk of the time was spent getting the stock tri-y's and sneaking the headers in place? Requires some removal of a lot of parts from what i could see.

I am considering this system as well. Did you need to tune after the install?

I have not tuned, for the time being, maybe later. The removal wasn't bad as the only items needing removed on the driver's side was the uncoupling of the steering shaft. The passenger side needed to have the motor mount removed and the radiator overflow bottle pushed aside. This was one of the easiest headers/exhaust R&Rs that I have done in my life but I feel this was due to the craftsmanship of the SW equipment. The motor mount removal/install was unique tho. Most of the time was spent on the alignment not the removal/install. I have found I learn alot about a car doing a header/exhaust change out.

I have the SW cat-back installed now and will be installing the SW headers soon, so I will post videos of the stock, cat-back, and then full system.

Hey Gary since you're close to me can you come over to my house next weekend to install the headers for me? haha just kidding.

How much louder is the full system compared to the stock system? Also, is the tone / note much different? Did you get the high flow cats or test pipes? Thanks.

I just finished putting my full length system on last night with test pipe and I will say it is loud! The videos do not do justice on the sound. Before in the car you couldn't really hear the exhaust at any point if the windows were up, now you can hear it all the time with windows up. The rumble at idle is a much deeper tone and when you hit the gas it screams. Really wakes up that feeling that your driving a v8 sports car.

Awesome to hear that you installed it yourself. That is what I plan on doing also. I love installing everything myself that is bolt on. I will not touch the internals like cam and will leave that to the professionals. I have not decided which system I am going with yet but this one is right at the top of my list right now. Waiting for ARH to release everything for our Camaro. Here is a video with the headers and catback installed from their website. Sounds great!!! Turn up the volume
