Help! Phone Settings = Not Available???

Ok, so what's the deal?

I can stream music from an iPhone4 4.0.1 to the car's speakers (Camaro 2010 2SS) without a problem.

But when I went to pair the phone for the "hand free" feature... I keep hitting config > phone settings, but it just shows "not available". I also tried through the "voice recognition system" by pressing the call button on the wheel, but nothing happens; ie. the car doesn't say anything when it's supposed to say "Ready."

I keep reading that the module for the phone's "bluetooth" is on the OnStar module. Am I S.O.L. because the car came from the dealer with "OnStar delete" feature?

It would sure suck to have such a great new car and phone and can't even use the hand's free because the module got deleted from the factory.

The bluetooth should be seperate from the OnStar. When you go into the Phone settings in the 'maro make sure you have the Bluetooth page up in your iPhone settings. The iphone is only active/searching for new connections when you are on that page. Hope this helps.

Had it on Settings > General > Bluetooth (and it's on "ON" with that little wheel running) and it shows GMusicConnect "Connected" only (and below that line "Now discoverable"), nothing else. Streaming music works perfectly. But still can't connect it for hands-free calls :(

Hello Kakashi!

I am having the exact same problem. Would be able to specify which fuse was it that blew? or take a picture?

Thank you!

Yervais,
I pulled out the OnStar 7.5 fuse and put it back in (since it wasn't blown) and my OnStar and bluetooth is back!!! :-)

HINT:There is a tool to remove the fuses on the engine compartment fuse box.

Driver side dashboard panel. See owner’s manual for fuse schematic.
