GPI or TSP?

Getting ready to unleash the beast this spring, cam, 391's and ported manifold. I can't decide who to go with. I'm leaning towards GPI considering they offer a remote tune, but everyone I know runs TSP stuff.

I have a mild TSP cam in my Silverado and I guess I'm pleased with it. It was a pain in the ass having to take it and get it tuned...and not cheap either! The remote tuning offered by GPI is real attractive.

TSP here as well!! I really like the gains I got with it. Back when I did the cam swap I didn't know about GPI or I would have gone with them. As stated above, they REALLY know what to do with these LS based engines, and remote tunes are a cool deal too. Also as mentioned, contact acammer, he is a really knowledgeable help with cams and everything else!! Good luck.

They are building me a 415 stroker from the block up. Andrew's knowledge is amazing and he goes way above & beyond to help you. It is a great experience. My past tunes from Ryan were sent quick & spot on. I have no worries about this build including 391's & a Trutrac upgrade.

Likewise, all I knew was TSP before joining this forum.

the shop i used has their own custom grind through TSP and they dyno/tune on the spot. i always recommend a tune and dyno. i know the remote tunes are good but i feel more comfortable with a tuner and going over specifics. just my two cents

If I were considering a cam and springs I'd include BrianTooleyRacing in the choices.

I was thinking of doing that, but now with California no-tune smog check, doing cam mods is further complicated or ruled out.

Tsp makes good stuff, but GPI 100% for me, very happy with my cam setup from them

I'd vote GPI, but admittedly I have no experience with TSP. My experience with GPI has been phenomenal (look at my GPI build thread). The team there is very personable and committed to maintaining the outstanding reputation that they have earned. I'm local to GPI and that helps with scheduling and face-to-face discussions but they are very accessible and responsive on here and other forums, facebook, etc.

+1 on the Brian Tooley Racing! I am running their PR's, .660 springs and titanium locks/retainers and valve guides/seals. Great products and great price. I just refreshed my springs after 25k miles.

GPI for me because they not only spec their own cams but they have refined their tunes for them. Ryan at GPI knows how to get every ounce of power out of this platform.

I do love me some TSP though.
