Thanks to all who have posted interest.......we have about 20, so only 30 more to go!

I am hoping that if we can demonstrate a significant amount of interest, then they will give us a break on the minimum number. This is a much bigger race, so space is more of an issue .

Keep posting, and I will update when I get more information.

Thanks again,

Sounds good to me! I would like more info. I read a lot of stuff at their site, but would prefer hearing from those that have attended before.

Re: Road Atlanta Update

Well I don't think the corral at Petite is going to work out.

The track has agreed to reduce the number of cars down to 30 min; however for this race they charge a $ 3,000 corral fee.

They are offering the 4 day ticket at a reduced rate of $ 70.00, plus a $ 50.00 per car parking pass, but the corral fee adds $ 100.00 per car (assuming 30). Yes boys and girls that would be $ 220 per car for the 4 day event and the one day ticket only saves you $ 10.00.

I told them that I doubted that we had anyone willing to pay an additional $100 just to park in a reserved area, but figured I would put this out and see what everyone thinks.

So.......let me hear what you guys and girls think, and we will go from there.

Out of my range, unfortunately.

Both actually... Your last post explains costs. Just for starters: Do we actually run for 10 hours in a row? Are their separate competition levels?

Camaro Corral @ Petit Le Mans October 1-4

Not sure if the "we" was a typo , but it is a ten hour race (IMSA Tudor Series), but we (camaro corral) only watch the race. This race is the top U.S. road racing series, and is their last race of the 2014 series. The main (Petit Le Mans) race runs on Saturday and does run 10 hours straight. The Continental Tire Series (Stevenson Motorsports Z28 in the field) run a 2.5 hour race on Friday.

You can find the information on the series (classes etc) on the internet, and can see the 4 day schedule on the Road Atlanta website.

With or without the corral, I plan on being there Friday and Saturday.
