We had a dust storm here in the Texas panhandle yesterday! I just cleaned up Bullet (Bullet is our 2010 Camaro) for the Camaro Fest V. Now it has dust all over it. Well I will need to wash it after the 655 mile drive to Baytown anyway!!!
Have a great Monday everyone!!!

Tile installers showed up today to continue working in the bathroom. NOW I see why they allocated a week for this. The tilers don't like what the plumbers did and the carpenter did not finish his part of the job. Carpenter is on the way, not sure about the plumber. Gonna be lots of people in the bathroom today. Glad it's a pretty big room.

No sign of pool people. We continue to enjoy our yard hole.

I saw that on the news. Sorry about your no-longer-clean car. Isn't that just hte way it goes though when you wash your car? As soon as we wash them either the weather, pollen or the birds are surely to take that as a cue to dirty it up. I hope it was not so bad as to etch the paint though. Other than that, it is just dirt & will wash off.

Monday afternoon, just completed a 10 day blitz of marking my second year design studio projects. This afternoon end of semester marks posted on student internet and within 5 mins. students who made poor marks flooded me with emails. "I worked so hard", "course mark unfair", "need to discuss", etc.

Not one student who 'earned' a poor course mark will admit they screwed up, I must have screwed up. It is never the students who screwed up, must be the prof. screwed up.

So very tired today dealing with students who refuse to take responsibility for their own actions.

So many people fall into this category, not taking responsibility for their own actions.

Music Monday stuff. Listening to Billy Joel on Sirius, so here are a few,

Just ordered a 2014 LT2 and trading in my 2012 Buick Enclave so people around here probably think I'm old ...and batty. Doesn't matter I wanted one and that's all that counts. 66 BTW.

Sadly, this isn't isolated to just students. There is a long line of people in this world that fail to take responsibility for their actions.

Yep, failure to take responsibility & just plain being lazy is far too common these days. Thankfully there are still some good people around too.

Welcome aboard the fountain-of-youth discoverers club sticks88.

It was a boring day at work just surfing C5 & monitoring the radar at work. Only one client showed up all day with all the hype about potential severe storms. But my last 2 clients cancelled so I got to come home early & just barely beat the heavy rain home. It is raining cats & dogs right now here & the satellite TV reception is out. I hope none of our friends on C5 have been (or will be) negatively impacted by these storms. You keep yourself safe Skipp & anyone else traveling to Camaro5 fest.

My day certainly was not boring. All the wheels fell off the cart, so I spent all but one hour of my day putting them back on.

The pay is the same.

Ah yes I have spent many days putting the wheels back on the cart over the years always a good time........not. I had to spend some money tonight New tires for the Silverado. Got Firestone Destination for $770 with everything including installation. My wife also put the first door ding in the Camaro this evening as well. It's fairly small so I am trying to decide if I should just live with it or see what a pdr guy would charge to remove it.

The dent guy we visited on our cruise & learn trip took out a ding that was right on the crease on the door & when he finished it was pretty close to perfect. You really had to look hard to see anything at all & what you could see was miniscule. He did not charge that much either. Might be worth checking into. I'm sure there is somebody in your area who does similar stuff.

We escaped any significant winds/damage here but Lincoln county had significant damage & 2 fatalities. It was described as a miracle more were not killed. Even so other places got hit worse. Prayers & strength to all impacted. Flooding is also a problem & a few counties have closed schools.

More storms expected today. Stay safe everyone.

We have a powerful front moving through now, extremely windy! No rain though. I'm sure this will impact you guys in a day or two.

Working a 1/2 day today. Claire needs transport today for a procedure.
