I am really thinking of going so if I do I need to make reservations some where so where do you recommend? I take it it is going to be in bowling green since you mentioned the corvette tour so when is this taking place? Are there alot of Camaro vendors there so a person can buy Camaro parts etc? Sorry for the questions but like I say I am bored stiff now since I retired!

My son and I went last year and had a good time. Met a lot of really good people. Not sure if I'm going this year. The 11 Hour drive from Jacksonville, FL is a LONG time in a Camaro.

Check out the link below for Hotel information. I stayed at the Courtyard which is directly across the street for the Holiday Inn Host Hotel.

Thanks for the info. After I posted I went back and found the thread on the camarofest and see it is in July. I had a heatstroke about 30 years ago and I have to be careful about getting to hot and seeing that it is in July I have to rethink this deal. I also took my basic training for the army in Ft. Campbell and was there in july and I remember how hot it was so I don't know now.

I have read about some of the things that go on but it seems like mostly racing. Those that have been can you tell me what else happens there?
I have been twice, in 2017 and 2018. I usually do the early meeting on Wednesday night at Smokey Bones, up early Thursday for NCM Raceway. The meet and greet at the hotel Thursday night. Friday has been my Beech Bend day. I usually do 4-5 passes and call it a day. In 2018 we cruised up to a distillery for the road trip. Good times.

I have been to every Fest that has been at Indy or Bowling Green. It is a blast for sure. I have enjoyed doing some racing at NCM, autocross (badly) & drag racing (won 2nd place in V6 class X3). But I too have to be very careful about the heat now. Last year was not as bad as some years but still pretty oppressive. I just lose my faculties very quickly once I get hot & then easily go into heat exhaustion verging on heat stroke. It also has been less fun for me in recent years as local clubs have fallen apart or just become drama filled so I don't really have a crew to hang out with. Not sure we will go this year. Since we are basically local, we may cruise up & just hang out a while or pop in on the parking lot parties. However if you have never been it is a blast.

In 2017 you were in the paddock right next to us. I had the white '16 SS. The one couple had the canopy and everything you could think of in their Camaro. I have no idea how they had all of that in there.

In '18 I rented a garage stall. Helped a lot since the guy in the next stall brought a fan.

Yeah, that year I got to hang out with some friends who paid for the paddock. Last time I ran NCM though I scared myself running off Deception. I know everyone messes up on that corner & I did good; just went over the rumble strips & right back on the track, but I just can't afford to wreck my car. You know they say if you can't afford to push your car over a cliff you have no business racing..... yeah, no. I had great fun racing but I just don't think my reflexes are quite as sharp as they used to be & add in the heat lessening even that & I think my racing days are behind me.

I have a friend [he is old like me!] who bought one of the first SS Camaros when they came back in the inferno orange color and it has been a garage queen ever since he bought it. I think he has less than 10k miles on it. Anyway I have ask him if he is interested in going and he is thinking about it. He lives about 250 miles from me and he is coming here where I live [work related] and we are going to eat lunch together thursday of this week and discuss it more. If he wants to go then I am in. Our wives are going to go also if we go so I guess if it gets to hot we all will just go back to the hotel and go to the bar [if there is one] and cool off there. I will report back and let you know if we are coming so I can meet up with some of you all on here. That would be nice to meet other camaro junkies that enjoy their car as much as I do.
