SF BAY AREA TRANSFORMERS MIDNIGHT PREMIERE!!! June 29th
Hey All,
I'm working with Pyroboy and the Redwood City Century Theatres to block off the street right in front of the movie theatre for camaro parking. I'm turning in the application tomorrow morning and will be scouting out to see how many cars can fit on the street without impeding emergency vehicle pathing if needed. The cost should end up being a couple bucks per car, and we will have reserved parking spots from I believe 10:30pm to 2:30am. The movie time will be at 12:02am (non-3d version). Feel free to buy tickets now, as they can't reserve tickets for us, but I won't know how many cars we can fit until the permit to close the street is approved. Once it's approved I'll be making a sign up thread and taking the first X amount of camaros for the spots in front as you'll need a permit displayed in your windshield to park there. Just wanted to give everyone an update. =) |

I'm right next to RWC and would be down to go for sure. That street is not very big, if it's the one way I'm thinking of. Depending on how they close the street if we get the permit I'm thinking 10 cars at most. But scout to confirm for sure.

I am in. No need to hold a spot for me though. Unless you want to have a missing car spot. LOL! We are talking the night of the 28th morning of the 29th or the night of the 29 morning of the 30th? I found out the hard way that some movie theaters don't run on a normal clock. J please confirm. Thank you.

They are moving those huge planter boxes so we should be able to get more cars in if we park them at an angle facing the theater. It would be June 29th @ 12:02am. It blocked off @ 1030p on June 28th.

The event will be taking place Tuesday night, wednesday morning. The street closure will happen from 10:30pm on Tuesday night, and go until 2am on Wednesday morning.
I'm leaving now to turn in the application and driving by the theatre to see how many we can fit. I'll have a number of cars we can fit tonight. |

Sorry to hear that Jason.
Well so far it looks like there's room for 9 people. We may be able to get another 1-2 cars out there, but the application is in and It seems that we can fit 9 comfortably. Once I hear back from the city of redwood city as to what planters we can move, I'll have a hard number of how many cars can fit. |
