Tampa Bay Camaro Club first meeting.
The name is pending for now but, we will BE VOTING on our name at the meeting. Be sure to visit the club group on Facebook. http://www.facebook.com/groups/251537238201564/
As i stated a few weeks back i am starting up a new 5th gen Camaro and F-body club here in Tampa Bay. I have gotten some good response to it. Thanks everyone for the post ups and PM's Our very first meeting will be on Sunday Aug 28th noon at Buffalo Wild Wings in New Port Richey. 10936 State Road 54, New Port Richey, FL 34655 The management team is expecting us and is very excited to have us there. There will be some reserved parking set aside for us right up front in the patio area. We will also have tables available to us for food and drinks. I will be speaking to them further and if we can draw even 10 cars in. They would be very happy to host a monthly meet. They are willing to help us grow and offer us a great place to meet up. This is one location down for us and i'm still working on getting more. The goal is to have a minimum of 2 meets a month better if three. All locations will be spread out some to let all members attend. All will be on weekends. Mostly Saturdays. The primary goal of this meeting is to vote on our official name. Also to vote on a few important issues we need to get set. Owners of any vehicle are welcome to come to all of our public functions but, the only way to be an official member of the club is to either own a 5th gen Camaro or another F-body. Some won't like this rule but, Tampa does not have any official Camaro club and we need one. Other vehicles have clubs available currently. With all that being said. Come on out to our very first meeting if you wish to join this new club and help it grow from the ground up. Every single official member gets a voice in the club. Can't wait to see you all there. Be sure to bring on out anybody you know with a Camaro. The bigger the better.I know it will be fun. Key topics we will vote on at the first meeting. (You can submit any ideas from now until the 27th online) You must be present at the first meeting to VOTE on the topics though. Sorry if it seems unfair to those who cannot make it out but, this really is the best way. I would rather see a 10 member active club as opposed to a huge membership that isn't active at all. Key points to vote on to think about until the 28th. Club Name. Areas for additional monthly meetups. Club logo. Do we at some point charge a small annual due? To cover things like club shirts and such. List of those attending the first meet & the maybes. daveagogo1 rydahog (probable) Inferno10 PaceSS ibmrs y2k king (maybe) j.buzby Snake Slayer mrvenicess FNG (maybe) tw3ss (maybe) Pengwen4646 Slingshot (maybe) Mrs. Slingshot (maybe) 2011camaroexcited cpages2 WendyJ 1977and2010 zkdreads jhmurphy

That did cross my mind but, there are many businesses in the Tampa area that use this name or slogan. I t will get voted on and we will see what name we come out of the meeting with. I did however preface it with Tampa so your mom doesn't think we have a new club in her backyard lol.

I too have some time constraints so i totally get it. I made the first meeting up this way to give a chance for all the Pasco people to attend as well and to allow me more time available. There is never anything up this way other than Wiregrass every 3 months and we all end up driving way south for everything else.

If I didn't have other things in the way, I'd be up there in a heart beat. But with school starting up in 2 weeks, I want to be sure I realize my main priority before I start doing this stuff. I hope you understand.

I know its not close for everyone. But the club will have rotating meets on weekends to afford the best opportunity for all to participate. Name ideas can be proposed in this thread for consideration. People at the meeting will vote on the names.
