If it wasn't for the goofy styling of the focus. That would be my pick of the bunch mentioned for that climate. GT-R is just a different class of car.

Just wander why no one has mention any Subaru as a all year car , AWD that as proven to be reliable and depending on the model it can also be a hog on the slippery northern winter roadways

RS. That car is going to be a monster and Ford generally underrates their motors from the factory
