Frankenstein Stage 2 heads any thoughts?
I'm ordering my cam this week but my tuner says my ported stock heads would take a long to to get back from the shop he uses. Cores wont being coming in for 6 weeks or more. I'm in Canada so they get sent somewhere over the border. He has a set of Frankenstein Stage 2 heads coming into the shop in the next week or so.The have Manley stainless valves with .660 springs installed. They are oviously more then porting my stock ones but I'm wondering if they are worth it. The have great reviews. Thanks

A very well known LS tuner in Texas, not affiliated with Frankenstein, tried a set of their heads. He got rid of them.

Our stage 2 LS3 program is a pretty huge port. I normally like to recommend these to folks with 400ci+ or power adder applications. They use a 2.180" intake valve and a 1.600 exhaust valve. Only time I recommend these on an SBE deal is if it will turn 7500RPM+. If you have any questions about our products or service feel free to send me a DM or contact us.

Would you like to give out more details and information? I can assure you there is nothing wrong with our heads or porting service. We sell/make what the customer wants even if we try to consult with everyone before they pay us for our service. We have no control how they are being used. If this tuner is in Texas I'd love to have a word with him and see about doing a real world test on site or even invite him to use our engine dyno (Biggest in America) and show result. Most tuners are pretty much tuners. Not head guys not engine builders. I talk to tuners pretty much all day. Be happy to educate anyone

I have heard nothing but great things about Frankenstein heads. They do some gorgeous work. I dig the gasketless, O-ringed exhaust ports.

I have FED TFS 262cc heads and I made 568rwhp NA on 91oct sbe, with the hp still climbing but dyno skew rpm signal.
I say stage 1 are better suited for you.

I've never heard of anything but great things about the Frankenstein heads. Martin has this stuff seriously down to a science. And those valve angles!!

Ok guys thanks for the info. There's still a chance I can still get stock ported heads. These ones just happen to be at my tuners shop.
