Nitto 555 g2 VS. Michelin PS4S
Hi, I'm looking at purchasing new rim & tires soon. Trying to get some input on which tire is a better riding & performing tire. Car really won't be tracked & not a DD.

2 completely different tires. The Michelin PS4S is the best tire on the market right now for a ultra high performance application, the Nitto 555 G2 isn't even in the same realm of performance.
The only other tire close to the MP4S is the Continental Extreme Contact Sport which is it's direct competitor. |

Like mentioned above, night and day difference. The Michelin's are a whole different league. Nitto is basically a cheaper, low budget performance tire, same with Toyo, which I believe is the same company put of Japan.
Go with the Michelin's, they can be had for a good price as well.

I love my g2s, they hook decently and so far I've had good wear. Price wise I think they are a good deal. I run the 295-35 on the rear and 275-35's on the front.

I've had plenty of Nitto tires as I currently run them on my truck. I still stand by my comment, Nitto isn't even in the same league as the Michelin PS4S or the Continental Extreme Contact Sport, or even the Bridgestone Potenza RE071r Pole Position tires.
Those tires lead the market in wear, performance and handling in ways that Nitto will not be able to touch without completely redesigning their tire lineup. |

The new Continental Sport tires are smooth as silk. I'm still breaking them in so I haven't "pushed" them yet. I would count them in on your next purchase for sure.

i have the new michelins and so far so good! as for the nitto 555 i havent ran nittos in years so cant say anything good or bad sorry!

Michelins all the way. No comparison IMO. Love mine. I think I would chose the Firestones over those Nittos, and the Firestones are a great lower cost alternative.
