CNC or Hand Ported Heads
Looking to have heads ported when it's time to do my cam swap. I was told that CNC porting doesn't hold a candle to a set of heads that have been professionally hand ported. There's 2 schools of thought here, so was hoping that someone would weigh in for some clarification....Pro's & Con's?

Depends on WHO is doing the hand porting , not everyone can do a great job hand porting. The people who do it the best get $$$$$$$ ,but they will make more horsepower than cnc. The GM cnc heads are a great choice for the money , and then you can recover some of the money from selling your old heads . If ya wanna play your going to pay. And for the max effort there are MAST and a few others that can get you max power for a price. I hear Reher-Morrison is a good choice .

Ive run both...
Hand ported LS3 and LSA and now I'm running AllPro LSW12-4 heads which are CNC ported... My hand ported heads were done by a very good professional. I make way more power now but there are many factors to that... well ported heads whether hand ported or machine ported are worth the effort/cost in my opinion... do your research on either...
