What flowmaster exhaust do I have?

I bought my Camaro preowned and the lady before me added a flowmaster exhaust so how would I tell which one it is? I'm new to the whole installing of mods and I'm willing to learn from such a professional community. I like the sound of it but it could be little bit more aggressive sounding in my opinion. Does flowmaster make decent headers as well that would go with the exhaust system. If there are better exhausts lemme know cause I wouldn't mind upgrading.

And opinions for a CAI? I was looking at Hennessy but any other ones that would be worth looking at?

Thanks in advance!

Look under your car and then go to the Flowmaster web site. Then check the pictures of the different Camaro catbacks and axle backs they have & compare them to yours...

This will be your best bet on a CAI http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=164353

As far as headers I would get at least 1 7/8 Long Tube and brand comes down to what you want to spend..

If you can take a picture of the mufflers I might be able to tell which you have, owned a lot of Flowmasters..

The CAI is one upgrade you don't want to go by price on. You will find cheaper ones around 250/350 but if you buy one of those you will find your self later buying the one in the link. Been there done that..

This would be the better deal, you can get the AMD Scoop for 24.00.

http://autoagenda.com/2010-camaro-v8...-scoop-package

Use this code and save 40.00 so you get the scoop for free.

Of the 5 intakes I've tried, of the ones currently available I'd say my favorite was the Halltech Yellow Jacket.

If you want to make your exhaust more aggressive, but are plan on getting headers, than don't change anything right now. The headers will make a huge difference, and most people are very happy with headers and a quieter catback. I woudln't go with 1 7/8" primaries, I'd go with 2" primaries from Stainless Works. And as far as CAI, the CAI inc. is the most popular.

Yeah, I can give you some links. Here's my exhaust; staraight pipe, 2" headers:
. I bought the headers from phastek, good guys http://www.phastekperformance.com/St...ca10hdrcat.htm . I installed them myself, and they fit really nice, excellent quality as well.

If you have only axle back exhaust, deleting the resonators will give you a great sound..

Regarding the Flowmasters, check out their site and put in your vehicle to see which ones you have. They offer quite a few different options.

Please check out our LSR CAI, we offer a kit that can be used both with or without a tune:

  • ~15HP & 12 ft/lbs TQ Max Gains at the Wheels with no tuning, ~35HP & 38 ft/lbs TQ Peak Gains at the Wheels with tuning
  • High-flow Lifetime Air Filter
  • Velocity-Stack Inlet smooths incoming air
  • Made in the USA
  • Lifetime Warranty

Let me know if I can help you with anything.
