Head selection
So my 2013 SS / 1LE Camaro has a date with a performance shop. They quoted me at $1200 to work the stock heads. In my mind that’s half way to a set of AFR heads. So figured I’d look into ported stockers vs aftermarket. Goals are 500 hp 450 ft lbs at the wheels naturally aspirated (a bit ambitious sure but why shouldn’t I be?) LS3 Stock bottom end M6 and 3.91 rear end.
Other mods that are going to be going into the car: LSXR 102 intake Rotor fab CAI BBK 102 mm TB ATI 10% underdrive balancer 1 piece drive shaft Kooks headers (2in primary 3in collectors green cats) Kooks pipes (3in) Cam is an in-house grind 231/246 .61x/.61x @ 0.050 113 LSA Thoughts? |

Send your heads to Wegner Automotive... they do awesome work at awesome prices. I had my heads done there last winter.

Yes... I have basically the same set up... except I have the lod speedworks intake... made 524 hp

Thanks for the suggestion on that intake. Runners seem a bit short. I prefer a bit more low end torque than I think that intake will promote. Definitely the best looking intake I’ve seen in awhile.
