Camaro straight pipe, a quick and easy exhaust mod (videos)

Hey there Camaro5 members. If you are a little tight on the finances but want to help out your exhaust sound and power. You Tube links to a 200.00 quick and easy exhaust mod (where stock mufflers are removed and replaced with straight pipe). Why are some spending the big bucks when you can do this? Thanks to Hylton for posting these up for me.

Negotiated price for Camaro 5 Members 200.00 installed. Colorado only but just about anyone can do this if they take their time to get the proper allignment and angles. Fabricated and installed by Exhaust Pros of Commerce City Colorado 303 287-9669. Dont forget to tell them you are a Camaro 5 member
start up

easy drive off

normal drive by

getting on it drive by

Getting on it drive off with trac control still on.

so they just took the mufflers off. Is there a DIY instructions out there. Will this mess up the computer. To me it sounds like its still muffled by something is that Cat? Also does this car have true duals or is it a H pipe

I just love how you can now see the IRS with those jerry cans removed. Great mod for looks and sound!

Yes, they just gutted the muffler with a strait through pipe. DIY would just be cut the muffler off, slip on this section and tack weld it on.

It won't affect computer -- nothing back past the cats are monitored. LS/LT/SS cars all have true duel exhaust w/ an X-pipe. And yes, the cats (2 per bank, 4 total) do muffle the car a bit.

Sure, just tell them you have inline mufflers. It's the latest technology out there and the Camaro is the first car to have it available as an option.

Every state is different. But as long as you dont touch the cats there is no effect on the smog. Some areas have local ordinances regarding mufflers but then again I am not putting on my front license plate either.

Absolutely! Everything in front of the rear axle is left intact.

Cool I think! It could only be better, for the money, if the pipes were mandrel-bent and stainless (they didn't look stainless anyways). I think the only muffling left are the resonators. It sounds pretty good!

on start up and idle it sounds just like my truck. not that that is a bad thing.

i have a 2001 silverado with the 4.8 LR4(iron cousin of the LS engines) and the exhaust dumps right after the cat. it was suppose to be a temp fix, that was 2years ago.
