I never really noticed how noisy these transmissions are until I drove around with my windows and sunroof closed and no A/C or radio on. Usually between the windows being open and the combo of exhaust and stereo I never notice it
It's only loud when the fluid thins out after warm up. I thought the D4 helped, but thickening with 50% MTL helped more. I also used a box of Dynamat Extreme on the tranny tunnel (under the center console), and that made the biggest difference.

Just an FYI as of the end of last year Tremec has their own fluid for the TR6060.

It is a LOT thicker when hot than Redline D4. Redline MTL is closer.

I see most of you are using redline ATF but the manual says to use “Manual Transmission Fluid”. Can you please tell me if this Delco Synthetic I got is good to use before I put it in? Thanks

AC Delco is good for general use. I've had much better luck with Redline ATF and Royal Purple synthetic with cold shifting and racing. Seems to not grind (nearly as much). But, I'm pretty hard on my stuff. That's my two-cents worth.

Everything I've seen is this trans uses ATF. It's the weirdest thing to me but that's what I figured out after many phone calls. I've done well with the Valvoline Max Life Syntetic ATF.

Tremec has also come out with their own fluid for these trans too. It's an ATF type fluid.

I feel like I am beating a dead horse and I am sorry about that but;
the owners manual says to use " Manual Transmission Fluid"
that is why I am so reluctant to use even the best ATF.

The other thing that has me confused is seeing something like
"75w90" on a bottle of transmission fluid.

I suspect something is not right because what your owners manual says vs what we as a community are telling your aren't the same. AllData says - Manual Transmission Fluid

Tremec 6-Speed (M10 MG9 MM6)
GM Part No. U.S. 88861800, in Canada 88861801

You’re over analyzing this. Paralysis by analysis. We’re telling you our tried and working experiences and you’re not confident. Best you just stick to the Owner’s Manual recommendation.
