My DD got sucker punched

My dd is,.. Was a nissan leaf. I was turning and a lady ran a red light. Pretty sure it is totaled. Should find out today.

Will be going back to a Camaro, when everything I'd settled.

That's not how they determine if it's totaled.

Between the bent metal and the airbags that thing is gone. Yout lucky to be here, those cars are way to small to be safe.

That's what my friends are saying, pops the airbags, pretty much totaled. I'll find out tomorrow hopefully. Just want to stop worrying about what they are going to decide. For the fun of it my daughter and I test drove a ecoboost mustang. I was terribly disappointed in it. Not near the power I thought it would have.

Ya will be looking for a supercharged SS this time.

With the amount front end damage, coupled with the amount of airbags deployed...that would be totalled. You do realize how expensive airbag replacement is right? As well as the liabilities that come with it?

The post only indicated air bag deployment = totaled. Which of course is not true. You realize you posted a fragmented explanation, right? This is what you probably needed to post if you didn't want to be corrected.

I'm still banking on it being totaled also, because of the air bags. My car salesman, Brother (who is a body man), A friend who works in a body shop office, My insurance, and the other drivers insurance all asked if "AN" airbag deployed. I said 2 of them did.

That must be some sort of initial indicator.

Should find out something today.

It's an indicator that there was a certain amount of (high) impact/force in the collision, which along with a visual inspection of the damage (and possible frame damage) will influence their decision to total or not.

Nothing a crowbar and rubber mallet can't make good.

It looks like the vehicle did its job protecting you.

Just called the body shop. 15,000.00 in damage! Have not gotten an official word. But my bet is, it's done for.

Yeah, probably ~60% of current book value and most insurance will just total it.
