400+ horses in a v6?

I was thinking could us v6ers get to 400+ hp threw bolt ons or will we need to go FI? I really want 400+ horses on a 6 but really don't want to go the FI route unless I all else fails...So do anybody have a set up bringing 400+?

Nobody is pushing that level yet with bolt ons, and I doubt that anybody will. FI or maybe cams if anybody ever produces them.

you would have to up the compression ratio even more, p&p heads, cams, etc etc etc and even then itd be a maybe, but doubtful

probably possible, just going to take a bit more than what I'm doing, which isn't impossible, just money! my guess is I'll hit 375-385bhp....hope 400, but not counting on it. Beyond what I have planned...bigger valves, higher compression ratio, cat delete could probably get it done OR a nice set of cams if they ever become available.

With just bolt ons? No. Naturally aspirated? It will be possible, its only 111 hp/L and that is pretty achievable. It will depend on how much time and money gets put into it.

I'm splitting the difference... I'm putting you at 380 HP!

yea I figured bolt ons was kind of outta the question I just needed to make sure n get some advice before I try and see what STS TurboCharger is all about...it claims 500 hp on the v6 so I guess I'll have to go the FI route....well i'll be known with my v6 running with all them horses....I was trying to save some money by just getting to 400 and making it look the part stripes, rims etc

What kind of HP do you think you gained with the CAI,headers and tune?

Thanks for all the great info you've posted on this site

Dyno is not showing a lot of improvement.. but there is quite a bit of variability even in the same dyno session.. I can see 6 or 7 RWHP swing in any given session.. But basically I've gone from mid-240s to upper-250s...

However the more important thing for me is the improvement in my track times... When the car was stock I was running like 14.7, corrected to sea level about 14.4 or 14.5... My best run today is 14.0 and when corrected to sea level it is about 13.9... so...

Not without aggressive aftermarket heads.
