Heck no I never take the wheels off. If I can't see it than f*ck it..lol
I do clean them good..but who has the time. I'm lucky if I have the time for my yearly buffing.

Crazy
I pull my wheels end of summer and clean fender wells before I store it. I also wipe down the under frame every oil change and the fender wells every time I wash it. 3 years old 61,000 miles still clean as new.

I found that this really helps the inside of the wheels look good in between full cleanings.

I confess. I also pull the wheel well liners and clean them inside and out.

I did that once on my 95 firebird... was doing a upsize brake job and was waiting for parts and yada yada, my liners looked like new... but have yet to do that on the Camaro. I do pull wheels off -its much easier to clean them and the 'tire-side' of the wheel well liners |

No, you're no crazier than the rest of us here on C5. I clean my wheels every time I swap them over from my race slicks. However, I have pulled my street Forgelines off (left the car up on stands) while I cleaned them when they are particularly dirty.

See, that's my problem. I check the weather forecast every time before I was my car (and the inside of the wheels, and the wheel wells, and the engine compartment, and the door jambs, and the inside of the trunk, and the....)....sunny and clear for the next five days.....but dammit.....it rains within 24 hours. Every. Freaking. Time.
