6th gen 3-post spoiler on a 5th gen?

Has anyone tried this? I was thinking about ordering one for $130 and trying to fit it.

Any reason this couldn't be done?

Their deck lid is slightly rounded compared to our own - it would require some grinding of the spoiler, or a layer or two of 3M VHB tape to make it flush or weather proof it.

Right, I didn't think it would be a bolt on fit but simple modifications like that should be easy enough

I was thinking of doing the same. I like the 6th gen spoiler look.

You will have to modify it to fit due to the 6th gen deck lid being more rounded and you’ll have to fill in the holes from your stock spoiler on the deck lid.

If you install a pedestal spoiler on a 2010-2013 SS I believe the Spoiler has multiple holes across the very back where the stock spoiler bolts down. If you install a pedestal spoiler all of them are left uncovered and you’ll be drilling holes in the deck lid for the pedestal mounts. For guys who have an LS or LT without a spoiler at all obviously no open holes on the deck lid.

These guys were working on developing the ZL1 1LE spoiler for 5th gens, but they seem to have disappeared: https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showp...43&postcount=8

They had a thread that had more info regarding the spoiler, but they took it down.

Cool, looking forward to seeing how it looks. I wonder why they took down their thread and stopped updating on the forum. I really liked the side skirts they were working on.

Not sure why but, they changed it up a bit.

I’ll post a link when it comes in. Have a second trunk lid waiting...

My wing is all Carbon Fiber!
