Need clutch recommendations
I'm building a dedicated track car, https://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=555440.
The car currently has a A6 but I plan to switch to a M6. I am most likely going to use the TR6060 out of a ZL1. My motor is a LS2 bored and stroked using a LSX454 rotating assembly, LS7 heads, Holley Hi-Ram intake and Brian Tooley cam. I expect to be making 700+ hp and will be keeping the RPM's under 7000. I am not sure what clutch would be best. I can go with a stock clutch for the ZL1 or aftermarket like the McLeod RST, or something else. I was wondering what others are using and what their experiences are. Thanks Craig

I would highly recommend a Centerforce DYAD for your track car project. The DYAD XDS is a great choice. It is a dual disc capable of supporting 1600 ft/lbs. of torque. The XDS is a little more aggressive with less dampening than the DS version. You can find them listed on our website here: https://store.jdpmotorsports.com/col...l-kit-08614842 Kind regards, Stephen Komlos JDP Motorsports |

I’m over a 1,000 to the rw and I just destroyed a Spec triple disc rated for 1500hp, so I would not use Spec. RPS seems to be the way to go according to my builder. Very light weight and will hold up to 2,000 hp. I used a Monster twin disc when I was at 800hp and it did great, so that is another clutch to look at for you.

I usually overkill and over-research things. I'd go either RPS twin/triple or Monster twin/triple myself. I've heard decent feedback on the McLeod RXT 1200 but I've also heard some Specs being, well, particular. Haven't paid attention to the other brands.
