Remove Front Bumper Side Brackets

Hi,

I purchased a new front bumper for my 2014 LS and the passengers' side attachment bracket was broken pretty badly in shipping. I also want to remove it anyway before I get the bumper painted. I thought the brackets were simply attached with screws but it looks like it's some kind of through-hole pin.

Anyone have any advice on how to get the bracket removed? I attached a picture of the bracket.

Thanks!

Probably a rivet that will have to be drilled.

Oh interesting, are the rivets still usable after removing them or will I need to get new ones?

Do you happen to have any advice on how do remove/replace the rivets, this will be a new one for me.

The rivets aren't reusable. You have to drill them out. You install the replacement rivet with a rivet gun for metal rivets. The rivet gun is about $25-$35 depending on which you go with.

Theres 4 rivets holding it on.I have a 14 LS and happen to have the cover off also. You are going to have to remove the black trim that runs across the center also ,there is a rivet under it too

Body shop painted that bracket that's broken on yours without asking me so I'll be doing this too.

Have you purchased a replacement bracket yet? If so, what's the part number?
