Pfadt Uber Shifter - Initial Shifts

Pfadt Uber Shifter - Shifting with boot installed

Pfadt Uber Shifter - Regular driving

Pfadt Uber Shifter - Quick clip / recording shifter sounds

Did changing to this shifter aid in the notchy shift to 2nd or 3rd? I know you've had issues with that in your v6 as do I..and I'm hoping a short shifter will help.

It gives you less leverage when you pull and it binds.. Its helped me to not force it into gear and get the grind in those situations. Instead i double clutch and try again. Ive only had 2 grinds since using the uber. The v6 m6 issue is not related to the shifter IMO.

Gotcha. Thanks for the input. I'm still having a little difficulty differentiating between peoples interprtation of grinding and notchiness..when you say grind you mean the one you can hear, right? Like a type of noise you'd never want to hear coming from your car?

  4. What do you think of a Beta Testing Program like this?
This is strictly my opinion

1. I don't like the name, Uber is used online mainly as a slang word, specially by the younger teens. The name doesn't represent the professionalism and quality of products made by Pfadt.

2. This is mainly based on personal choices, as well as, the kind of process available to make one. Are the Chevy trademarks available? SS? Please provide some info.

3. I expect a price similar to other competitors

4. I really like the opportunity given to your customer base for testing. I would highly recommend that the consumer beta testing be limited to non-critical and non-labor-intensive parts such as the shifter, tunnel brace, sway bars and so forth, It will allow the tester to easily change it back to stock if a design, discomfort or other problem arises.

Additionally, beta testing is also good for parts were ergonomics, response, and looks are important to the driver. Consumer testing will give you an idea of what most people prefer.

Can you email us Pfadt Dealers some price points on these???

I like it alot and think that a round knob, engraved with your or some sort of SS/?? Logo, would definitely help you all sell a boatload of these.

Nice start so far!!

Hey guys...new contest on Facebook is up. We are trying to get a good idea of what option(s) people want to see for the shift knob detail.

Below is only 2 examples of the 10 current options we have to vote on at our Facebook page. Go to the page, and vote on all of the ones you want to see make it to production! You can "Like" more than one image!
