Anyone with an Escort 9500ix?

Just ordered mine since I got sick of all the false alarms on my Valentine1. I would really like to wire it to my mirror and mount it right above my mirror like I did with my Valentin, but since it's quite a bit larger than my Valentine, I'm not sure if it will fit in the same spot. Does anyone have their's wired to the mirror or mounted next to their mirror? Please post pics if you have them! I'll post a pic to show you where I'd like to put it.

Please post pics of where you mounted your radar detector so I can get some ideas of where to put it if it doesn't fit.

Search for 'Blendmount'... there are kits designed to wire up to your mirrow and clamp to the mirror base so it sits just below the mirror itself.

I mounted mine to the passenger side visor, there is a bracket you can get. Then I ran the remote for it to the dash so I can see the lights. Works well and out of the way. I can post pictures later if you want

My 9500ix is mounted to the right of mirror using Escort's "Super Cup" mount.
I've used the super cup about one year in several vehicles without any problems.

I was worried about the visibility issue too. Bought the blendmount anyway. I don't have a problem with visibility at all. The only downfall is that its over-priced.

Well thats good. The price has me set off as well. I think I'll stick to the suction cups that come with it until I figure out a cheaper mount.

I'll look into the super cup mount. I have something similar for my GPS unit and it works really well.

What did wiring installation involve with the visor mount? Was it difficult? So far I've only found one DIY on here and the instructional are somewhat vague, plus all the pictures are broken so its a little iffy.

I've had the blend mount on the driver's side visor for 2+ years now. I think I found it on amazon and it's wired into the onstar. The instructions that came with it were pretty straight forward and easy, just push the pins into a connector.
