First start out of storage recommendation/opinion

Any of you that store your cars what do you do starting up for the first time after storage of say about 6 months. Is it recommended to Just start it up and let it idle till it warms up, or remove fuel pump fuse and /or ignition fuse and crank till you have oil pressure then start the car up and let it warm up. in the past i have just started any vehicle that i was storing and let it warm up to operating temp prior to moving it.

I always turn key to run position to build fuel pressure, but then just start it up. Wait for idle to drop. And drive gently until it’s up to temp. No need to wait for the car to idle all the way up to temp.

If you want to prime it first, which may be a little help full. Just hold the gas peddle all the way to the floor and crank for about 10seconds then turn key all the way off before releasing peddle, repeat and then start. By holding peddle to the floor makes the computer think it’s in flood mode and your trying to clear it, it shuts down injectors and car will not start just crank. No need that pull fuses.

With my other cars, I turn the key for about 15 seconds before starting. I have found that this helps to avoid the valvetrain chatter that I sometimes get.

With the ZL, I've just started it and I've been ok so far.

As I did with all of my performance cars that did not see the winter months... Put it away correctly in the fall, and turned the key in the spring.

These are modern fuel injected/computer controlled cars... no need to get crazy.

+1, there isn't much to worry about here on modern fuel injection. As long as your battery is good you shouldn't have an issue.
