Its actually about a 4x6 patch of reflective 3M type coating slapped on the windshield for most years.

I had a grand prix that was in a crash and the nwindsheild was speacial order because the coating was on the glass. That is what the gm parts guy told me. It didn't have any 4x6 stickers on the glass.

Yea, it was a 98 gtp. So, your saying the new ones have a sticker, even the corvettes. That seems like going backwards. I would be afraid it would come off with cleaning or get scratched.

We don't need to worry about a sticker for the Camaro HUD

NO stickers in the vette, and i dunno about any special coating, im pretty sure the glass itself is reflective and doesnt require anything additional. Also with the vettes the screen is adjustable for taller/shorter drivers and can be dimmed at night...i love mine especially on the highway!

Yea, mine was adjustable also. The problem was only way she could adjust it to see it caused it to be right in her line of site. which would be anoying.

Special windscreen (cost nearly double that of a standard windshield) was told it will work with standard glass but not as good.
