Until we get a 2014 ZL1 to test fit it on I can't say for sure. This fits the 2012-13 model. There is a good chance it will fit the 2014 but we need to verify that.

No, for the simple fact that every tune and tuner is different. Our system as sold as a bolt on that requires no tune, so that is what we test for and publish data for. Depending on the tune and knowing the air that this system will flow, I think a tune could easily get you 30-40 whp with the CAI + tune, but again it depends on your tuner. If you look in the S/C section of this forum there are many tuners that have claimed as much as 40 whp gains with our CAI and a tune with some of the different superchargers out there, of course that's not data we have collected but we have heard it from more than 1 reputable tuner.

Now I'm wondering which finish would look best in an otherwise stock engine compartment. What are others thinking?

100% of all the orders placed for it today so far have been black. Black is the more popular color for all of our CAI's.

Well here is possibly your first semi-chrome guy, lol. So is the semi-chrome version the same color / look as the existing CAI's ? That is also a ceramic coating correct? I think the silver if it is just like the older versions goes perfectly with the silver ZL1 cross brace.

Your new intake sounds awesome, great work !

It is the same finish as our current CAI's, we only offer 2 colors and they have not changed in over a year.

The aluminum MAF housing / velocity stack is thermal coated on the inside to reduce heat soak. The Near Chrome finish you see is not ceramic, it is a powder coat finish, it will be on all aluminum portions of the CAI (MAF housing, box, lid). We have not used a polished ceramic coating in years. We still do a thermal coating on the inside of the intake tube, and then the outside is a powder coated finish.
