Where I live I have seen 3 seperate V6 Camaros sitting on the dealers lots for weeks now all at different dealerships, all at msrp

Anyone else see them lingering on the lots where they live?

no one really wants the v6...not all but most! v8 all the way for me!

Not here in Salt Lake City. They come in, they're sold or gone in a few hours

Bad economy isn't going to help. However, I honestly think that the debut of Transformers 2 will move these things pretty quickly. The movie will be the biggest advertisement the car will ever have.

That would be a big surprise for GM. My understanding is that GM expects to sell more V6s than V8s.

The V8 is more popular on this forum, but a lot of people here are real enthusiasts, it's not representative of the consumer public in general.

Have you actually tried to buy one at msrp?

Exactly. Don't be too sure they're willingly selling at MSRP. They said that to half of the members on this board too, only to shoehorn in a $5,000+ markup when they're doing paperwork.

Yeah I just dont understand that. GM really needs sales and the dealers mark up the cars in a poor economy? I would imagine they would sell faster at or below MSRP.

We cannot keep a 2010 Camaro in stock here. They either sell on the truck before arrival or last a couple days at the most.

The 2010 Mustang is another story. The dealer across the street has like 15 in stock and continues to receive additional units every couple of days.

Here in Cedar Rapids, the first car on the lot (the dealer's May debut car) lasted a couple weeks before being bought over MSRP. The 2nd car on the lot lasted about a day. Everything else has been a purchased order, driven off the lot within hours.

I've honestly drove by some Chevy dealers and have not seen one V6 on the lot but seen some posts others about Chicagoland dealers marking them up. Which would explain why some of those would be sitting there.

The only V8's I've seen are but one, in the showroom, at the dealers I drove by... the "trophy" I guess.

I have not seen one on the road but at work I've heard three people tell me today that they saw one on the road and thought to ask me if I got mine yet.

The true tell will be after all of us pre-orders are done and the second wave of people (that we've had popping up in the forums with deliveries)... what is the general public going to buy. Time will tell....

Really??? Read a few more signatures on this site. V6 = LS, 1LT, 2LT. Its not as demanded as the V8, but I wouldn't go so far as to say "no one really wants the V6".

Here in texas we have a dealer with 2 sitting on the lot, (1) V-6 (1) V-8, Both the stickers have MSRP on them, You have to drag it out of them but finally they'll tell you that there is a "dealer addendem" of $10,000! Screw that! Make sure they are REALY MSRP!
