Any new news from O'Reilly? Does anyone know how many they had allocated to them? My salesman, Josue told me they had 28 orders, I guess he mean preorders, I think I am the 5th order out side of that.

Yep two so far, I keep asking my salesman what place in line I am, and I don't think he understands, I think I am #5 after the preorders

When I went down to see the two sold Camaro's I talked to Rachael (Inv. Manager), she said they currently had 38 orders. They originally had 24 allocations, and have delivered 2. 2 more coming in the next few weeks.

So that makes me think you are around 30th position.

I'm not sure why they only got 2 off the truck but I guess there were more then that but the truck continued on to a differerent route.

I received a call from Scott (Internet Sales) on 4/22/09 or close to. He offered me a peak at the 2 Camaro's they received. He also said that my projected pull date slipped a week. The news of the date slip was not a big deal, I was more impressed with being told the truth. I didn't go take a look reason being their not my Camaro - my baby, but great to hear that O'Reilly is filling orders. I'm not 100% sure they were pre-orders, will probably find out when I go back and re-read the thread. I'm 18th of 25 so I'm told

We should all try a get together after we all receive our CAMARO's!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you think its ok to call Rachael to find out my order statis? or should I stick with my salesman, I don't think he understands the way it works?

Hey Flynnaz,

I had the same problem with my first salesman, I knew more than he did thanks to CAMARO5. When I spoke with him I would politly tell him what information was available and where he could go to get it, he tried. I requested an update from the Internet Sales Manager twice, total flake. My new salesman called me to inform me that salesman number 1 was no longer employed at O'Reilly and that he would be my new contact. Perfect timing as I was at my wits end. I basically told him how I felt in a calm manner (or a least tried to), I'm a commited customer making over a $35K purchase, that I was dissapointed with the lack of professionalism, and stated what I thought about their so called top notch customer service they advertise. I beleive were doing them a favor so to speak, not the other way around. The new sales man and I get along great.

Just my long winded experiance. You'll have to decide how to deal with your salesman. Good luck! We did order late in the game so I would'nt get too worked over it.

I was told when I ordered that I'm 18th out of 25 allocations. There was one salesman who was standing around that stated they had 37 or 38 allocations, I didn't deal with him so I can't verify what he said.

Not that I am aware of. I decided after my trip down there to see the first two, that I would just let it all come to me. Besides... it's the busy time of the year for me finally... less time to obsess.

As far as I know I am still #3. Pulled 4/9, build could be anytime now. What Rachael had told me pretty much jives with everything that has been floating around the boards, i.e. no firm TPW's being given out.

I have damn near made myself sick waiting for this car... I finally decided to adopt the "It will be here when it gets here" attitude, a lot less stress. When she does arrive you all will be the first to know, and hopefully that will give you a better idea of when you can expect yours.

We will have to organize a get-together at the UMC Cardiac unit for a day of show and shine... and EEG's
