2013 1LE Package - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I have gone over the 2013 Ordering Guide and all of the information on the New 1LE Performance Package but ..... I still have a couple of Questions ?

First : We all know how Chevy likes to Package Special Editions ............ ( Usually Just One Way )
and It's sill not Clear if the 2SS with 1LE Package will be Available in All Exterior Colors ? ? ...... or Just in Red with the Black Hood ??.........

I love the Performance Upgrades but do not like that Color Combination and if that is the only way it will be Packaged .........
I will Order a 2SS in any one of 5 different Color combinations ...... like the New Blue Ray Metallic ........ and forget the Package!

Also even if the 1LE Package can be ordered in all Exterior Colors I still do not like the Mat Black Hood ............ and hope we will be able to delete the Black Mat Hood.

I would Maybe ? ... go along with it if it was Carbon Fiber and Lots Lighter ! but I know it is not.

Anybody have any Information about this ?? ..... Becky ? ........ Also Best Guesses or Thoughts on this ?

The 1LE will be available in all colors and the flat black hood is a wrap that should be able to be removed. No word yet if you will be able to delete the wrap from the factory.

I don't see the 1LE as a "special edition" exactly. It is a performance package primarily, but has some distinctive appearance items as well (wheels, splitter, spoiler). I suspect that the ride quality will be significantly different from an SS, so if you are not going for track use, it may be wiser to stay with a standard SS. The hood wrap could be "deleted" after the car is delivered. One other note, as of yesterday, Blue Ray Metallic was not yet able to be ordered, but all other colors should be.

IMO the hood and grand sport like stripes are the worst part of the package so I hope you can do a factory delete.

There is a lot of confusion on this due to the concept car pictures. The "grand sport stripes" are not a part of the package at all, the hood is.

No grand sport stripes come with the 1LE. That is the concept that you are referring to. Production car is much different.

I got quite a few chips on the hood of my 2010, so I would think the hoop wrap would cut down on that kind of damage???

Do you Know if the 1LE Package is first Run Hold ?

In any case a flat black hood be it a wrap or paint is lame.

I don't know for sure the build timing of the 1LE package, but I do know that Blue Ray Metallic was not yet available for order, and that the 1LE is (mine is going to be white).

I agree. Love the idea of this package just not a fan of the black hood!
