help clunking noise!!!!

So i have had the rear of my car up on jackstands for about a week while i switched out the rims on the back and i havent driven the car for about 2 months. Today i put the new rear rims on and lower it down and test drive it and i have a clunking noise from the middle rear. Is it because i had it on stands for so long that the all the diff fliud is all further up in the diff? Any help/ideas would be appreciated

Please describe the clunk better. Is the only thing you changed the wheels?

What size wheels and tires did you go with?

Is the clunk sound rythmatic, like the wheel turning and hitting on the brake cable. That happens to many. Check that out.

Or is it a hard clunk sound like the springs are not seated well now after hanging for a while?

More desription please.

deeper sound, if i had to guess it sounds like once every tire rotation. All i did recently is the 20X10.5 niche targa and pirelli 305s. But like i said it sounds like its coming from the middle rear of the car

I heard something about pulling it back with a zip tie. Check in the wheel and tire forum I know there are details in there for this problem

BINGO BANGO. Glad we were able to help solve this one for you.

Yes, zip tie the cable back.

I had to do this for my drag radial set-up when going to the track.

I am sure a guy could engineer a bracket to do the job rather than zip ties. Yes I agree kinda hokey but at least you got big meats under that thing.
