go V MAX or let the tune shop port my T.B. ???

Bout to get a lot of work done on the bee. And the shop said they been porting them forever for 150.00 So what do the 5 suggests...

If you trust them, then go with them. Also no core charge and turn around time for a swap,
But with VMax you get CNC porting, which is perfectly consistent from unit to unit.
Just depends on you.

Others who have had shop ported TBs have had the occasional issue, like when they take a bit too much off, resulting in CELs.

Unless you really know your shop has done a lot of TB porting, I'd just do VMax IMO.

Porting is pretty easy to mess up if you don't know what you're doing... It's easy to remove too much material... Not so easy to put it back on

It all comes down to whether you trust the shop...ask some questions and make sure they know what they're doing, and you'll be fine.
