I wouldn't be surprised if they do something but the pushrod motors are to easy, cheap and effective for trucks and normal cars.

We know they can make a damn good OHC motor because the North Stars are exactly that.

There will have to be a culture change from the love of TQ...

The Loch Ness Monster has better pictures taken of her than those.

I was hoping the mid-engined car would just be a halo vehicle (ZR-1, etc) shared with a Cadillac super car. I'm sure it won't be "affordable" after the conversion.

I would wager they still have one in the $75K range... they can't go too far away from the C7 pricing they have too much of a customer base that they would lose.

I personally am liking the idea of a RWD mid engine Corvette with an LT1 derivative. Add TT and some balls I'll be happy as hell with that...

My biggest fear is that this will increase the price of the Corvette significantly, so please stay front engine for the base models, even for the C8. The Corvette is the working man's sports car. It's supposed to be obtainable not something that starts at 6 figures.

Completely unconfirmed and pure speculation until more information arrives.

On that note though, there is another rumor regarding CT6 receiving a 4.2L TTV8...
