SW Ohio mod day #2

Sunday, May 23

I'm planning a second mod day at the Heinz place in Jamestown, OH since some have purchased new parts and would like to use my lift and get help installing shifters, skip-shift eliminator, changing rear diff oil, etc. Again, most tools will be available.

If you would like to attend, please post in this thread that you plan to attend and what mods you made have.

I have experience installing the MGW shifter and jrhaus76 has experience installing Hurst shifters and lowering springs. Both of us have experience with door/dash ABL. 1 RD JEWL has experience with CAI Inc's CAI and Showstopper 's accessories including the LED mirrors.

Instead of having a cookout, I will have Subway sandwiches for lunch and pizza for dinner.

Perhaps hrpiii can provide all his photos from the 1st mod day and 1 RD JEWL can provide all his photos from C5Fest for all to see.

I will be there! I loved the first one even though I didn't have my car with me!

I'm really hoping Darth_Emma can make it at least briefly. It seems like her Camaro has changed a lot since I saw it last so I'd like to see the latest additions.

I got on the group buy for the LED mirrors. If I'm able to get them before May 15, I could surely use 1 RD JEWL's help installing them.

If anyone doesn't have any mods or doesn't want to come in the afternoon during the mod time, they could just come meet us at the restaurant in the evening.

Just got off the phone with hrpiii. Looks like he and I will try and head over from Indy on the 15th for the day.

Congrats to Hank (hrpiii) he finished 1st in his weight class today. Would have been there to watch, but I didn't get in until 4:30 am this morning. Congrats again man. You made it look easy.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Here are my lifts from the event.

I'm definitely in on the second mod day, the first one was a blast. I may have to get some sways to install.

and let me know who wants pictures. I had a cd of pics to give to jrhaus at c5 and forgot. I can also get copies of all the pics I took at c5f.. just let me know and I'll bring them.

Watch the videos! Its impressive!

I will hold off on my sway till this day. We can install them at the shop. Probably much easier but will will need to figure out a way to lift the car on the lift and get the front tires off... Is this possible Heinz? If not, we can just install them on the gound. Also, I have been told you have to raise the engine to do the front. Just loosen the front subframe bolts... kinda like lowering the tranny for the shifter. I have also been told that you DONT need to... so I guess we will see...

Are there any sway bar instructions online I can read?

I'm thinking of a date change to Sunday, May 23 to hopefully better fit the schedules of Darth_Emma, LadyinBlue, 1 RD JEWL and CG-Camaro.

not sure but I hear it pretty easy... The back "may" require removal of the exhaust...

I can swing that. I will commit to the 15th or the 23rd.

I wonder if the main drive on ramps would actually be in the way trying to wiggle the sway bars off/on. Do you know what I mean?
